My Travel Story
I started being interested in becoming an at home agent in 2014. I had been on a few cruises and my family and friends kept asking me for advice as to where to cruise, when and which ships. I helped all of them without hesitation and asking for nothing in return as it was fun planning someone else’s vacation. At least that way I would not be booking my own vacation I could concentrate on someone else’s.
Then it hit me! Why don’t I become a home agent and get paid for having fun! I looked around and interviewed at a few places and decided to join a cruise company from the USA. It was fun and exciting as I started to learn all the differences in the planning process directly from the cruise lines. I am experienced in Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and NCL as well as some river cruising with Viking and land tours with Cosmo and I dabbled in some all inclusive as well.
I was however very limited as to what I could do as my host agency is based in USA. As I became more familiar with the processes and inventory, my business grew from just friends and family, then I knew I had to seek out a Canadian homebased company to grow.
I am very lucky to have found Transat Travel! They are very well known in Canada and have a great reputation in the travel business.
I look forward to their top-notch training for me to be able to assist in more travel fun for many more.
My passion is for cruising with my family once a year in the winter as my children do live in 2 different provinces across Canada and not so close together so to get to spend quality time with them once a year is what I look forward to every winter.
Our family vacations started with the 4 of us and over the years has grown. 2019 we had 21 friends and family and in 2020 there is 34 of us booked on a wild adventure!! Group cruises is one of my specialties.
I started selling cruises as a hobby and now I have grown my business to assist more families with their own dream vacations.
