OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
(hereinafter the “Rules”)
The "What if traveling made you win?" contest (hereinafter the "Contest") is organized by Transat Distribution Canada Inc. (hereinafter the "Organizer"). The Contest runs from September 2nd, 2025, at 00:01 (ET) (hereinafter the "Contest Opening Date"), until September 30, 2025, at 23:59 (ET) (hereinafter the "Contest Closing Date").
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to all residents of Quebec and Ontario provinces who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence as of the Contest Opening Date, with the exception of employees, agents, and representatives of the Organizer, its affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies, suppliers of materials, prizes, and services associated with this Contest, as well as any other person directly involved in the organization of the Contest, and members of their immediate family, parents, siblings, children, their spouses or common-law partners, and all persons with whom these employees, representatives, and agents cohabit.
2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1 No purchase required
The "What if traveling made you win?" contest is open to residents of Quebec and Ontario provinces who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of registration.
2.1.1 Participation with purchase: To enter, the person (hereinafter the “participant”) must book a Transat package through a Voyages Transat or Transat Travel location, between September 2, 2025, at 00:01 a.m. (ET) and September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (ET) inclusively. Departure must be between September 2, 2025, and April 30, 2026, and the booking must be for a minimum of 5 nights. The booking must be made online on a Voyages Transat or Transat Travel website, by phone, or at a Voyages Transat or Transat Travel agency.
2.1.2 Participation without purchase: This contest is also open to any person other than those mentioned in subparagraph 2.1.1 above, aged 18 and over, who wishes to participate under the conditions set out below. To do so, the participant must send a written letter by mail, starting September 2, 2025, to 300 Léo-Pariseau Street, Suite 300, Montreal, Quebec H2X 4C2, addressed to Transat Distribution Canada (attention: Lisanne Dion-Degodez), containing a minimum of fifty (50) words explaining why they wish to win the contest. The participant must include their email address and phone number in the letter to be notified if they win. This written request must be sent no later than September 30, 2025, and received by Transat Distribution Canada no later than October 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. ET. Customers who have booked a Transat package through Voyages Transat or Transat Travel under paragraph 2.1.1 will not be eligible to participate in the contest under this paragraph 2.1.2.
2.2 Once the reservation is completed or the written request is sent, the person becomes eligible to win the contest. The winner will be selected at random on October 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET and will be contacted by phone and/or email.
3. PRIZES
One (1) prize (hereinafter the "Prize") will be awarded.
Prize:
- A $3,000 travel credit with Voyages Transat or Transat Travel, which can be applied to either a current reservation and/or a future reservation.
- If the current reservation has already been fully paid, the winner will be reimbursed by cheque. If the value of the trip is less than the prize amount, the remaining balance may be applied as a travel credit toward a future reservation.
- For a future reservation, the winner will receive a travel credit with no expiration date.
The prize is worth $3,000 (CAD).
4. CONDITIONS RELATED TO PRIZES
4.1 Reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. The general terms and conditions of Voyages Transat and Transat Travel apply. Insurance fees, personal expenses, personal travel insurance, and travel documentation are not included in the prize. The Organizer strongly recommends that the selected participant purchase travel insurance at the time of booking.
4.2 The Prize is offered in the form of a reimbursement by cheque and/or travel credit. The winner will be contacted by Transat Distribution Canada Inc. to arrange receipt of the prize.
4.3 The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not exchangeable, refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.
5. DRAW
5.1 The contest winner will be selected on October 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The selection process will take place at the head office of Transat Distribution Canada Inc., located at 300 Léo-Pariseau Street, Suite 300, Montreal, Quebec, H2X 4C2. A total of one (1) winner will be chosen from all participants who became eligible before the contest closing date.
6. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
6.1 To be declared a winner:
6.1.1 The selected winner will be contacted by email or phone by the Contest Organizer within five (5) business days following the draw and must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. If the selected participant cannot be reached by phone or email within seventy-two (72) hours for any reason, they will forfeit the prize, and the Organizer will conduct a new draw.
6.1.2 The selected participant must complete and sign the declaration and release form (the “Declaration Form”) that will be sent to them and return it within ten (10) business days of receipt.
6.2 The winner will be officially confirmed no later than October 21, 2025.
6.3 Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or any other condition stated in these Rules will result in disqualification of the selected participant and forfeiture of the prize. The Organizer will contact the selected participant to provide instructions for claiming the prize once the duly completed Declaration Form has been received.
6.4 The selected participant must provide their mailing address so that the Organizer can send the cheque and gift certificate within 30 days of receiving the information.
7. PERSONAL INFORMATION
7.1 The Organizer may, from time to time and with the Participant’s consent, use the personal information provided by the Participant for the following purposes:
7.1.1 To communicate with the Participant in order to facilitate the awarding of the prize;
7.1.2 To communicate directly with the Participant regarding products and services offered by the Organizer, including special offers and travel information;
7.1.3 To conduct a survey on the effectiveness of the Organizer’s website, advertising, and sales efforts.
7.2 The Participant must indicate whether they consent to the use of their personal information by checking the appropriate box on the official entry form or by indicating it on the handwritten entry form sent by mail.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
8.1 The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify a Participant or cancel their entry if they attempt to participate in the Contest in a manner that does not comply with these Rules.
8.2 By participating in the Contest, the selected Participant agrees, without additional compensation, to the use of their name, address, city, province, voice, comments, photographs, and/or likeness for advertising or promotional purposes by the Organizer.
8.3 This Contest is governed by federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
8.4 Incomplete entries, entries received after the Contest closing date, lost, incorrect, or submitted by unauthorized methods will be considered void and will not be accepted.
8.5 The Contest is managed by the Organizer. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for any issues or failures related to network lines, online computer systems, peripheral phones, software, servers, providers, email, browsers, mail or postal services, or any technical problems that may occur, including but not limited to transmission issues or non-transmission, regardless of the cause. The Organizer is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by equipment and/or programs associated with or used in the Contest, or due to technical or human error that may have occurred during the Contest. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, loss, defect related to operation or transmission, communication line failure, theft, or destruction. The Organizer is not responsible for any injuries or damages that may result from the Contest. The Organizer reserves the right to destroy all Contest-related documents once the legally required retention period has expired. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or postpone the Contest at any time without notice if any factor prevents the Contest from being conducted in accordance with these Rules or in compliance with any law, regulation, or policy of any entity having jurisdiction over the Organizer. Please note that Transat’s general terms and conditions apply to any reservation.
8.6 Transat Distribution Canada reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the promotion at any time without notice.
8.7 Transat Distribution Canada Inc. reserves the right to offer a comparable product in the event of program cancellation, force majeure, or any other situation beyond its control, without any recourse by the winner and/or their guest.
8.8 All necessary travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) are the responsibility of the winner (and their chosen guests, if applicable); these must be obtained prior to departure.
8.9 If the winner’s guests are minors and the winner is not their parent, the parent or legal guardian must sign the declaration form and accept the invitation on their behalf for them to participate in the trip.
8.10 If the winner and their guests do not use part of the prize, no compensation of any kind will be provided.
8.11 The market value of the prize is in Canadian dollars.
8.12 In the event of loss, theft, mutilation, alteration, or unauthorized use of the prize, it will not be refunded or replaced.
8.13 The contest promoters are not responsible for delays or cancellations related to the prize that may occur before or during the trip. Any loss or theft of tickets, certificates, or other items will not be compensated.
8.14 By participating in the Contest, the Participant acknowledges having read and understood these Rules and agrees to be bound by them and to comply with them. The Participant confirms that the Rules are understandable and reasonably available for consultation.
